Adult Sunday School Classes
If you enjoy conversation and study about the Bible and issues of faith, as well as good fellowship, why not visit St. John's Adult Sunday School? During late spring and summer, the pace slows for the adult classes, and it might be the perfect time to visit classes and find the one that's just right for you. All classes meet at 9:50 on Sunday mornings unless otherwise noted. There is lots to choose from.
Discovery - Room 211/213

Sojourners - Room 216
This group of young adults studies the Bible and contemporary issues of faith, looking for applications to daily living. Members of this class enjoy discussing questions that challenge their faith. You are invited. They also meet during the week in member's homes.
Genesis - Room 114
These young and middle-aged adults enjoy studying the Bible, exploring the basis of the Lutheran faith, and examining contemporary issues of concern to the church. A group that enjoys discussion and laughter - come and meet them.
Miller - Room 218
This group (which includes many empty-nesters) engages in Bible Study through the Augsburg Adult Bible Study series. This class would welcome your visit.
Brooks - Library
These adults (middle aged and better) address the impact of faith in modern life, with attention to current events, topical issues, and the Bible. They welcome newcomers.
Martin Luther - Room 215/217
These "senior and others" adults do energetic Bible study. Caring for one another is part of this group's focus, and they welcome others of any age to join them.
Peeler/Fisher-Cox - Fellowship Hall (meets at 9:30)
This group of senior adults studies lessons from the Augsburg Bible series. They are traditional in their approach, and most have had a long-term relationship with this class at St. John's. They are warm and welcoming to newcomers.
