Opportunities for Adults
You will find many ways to get involved in the life of St. John's. Join in fellowship with others, sit in on a Sunday school class, find a small group for you, dig into a Bible study, or volunteer to put up a bulletin board! Look through the descriptions below and contact us for additional information.
Volunteer at St. John's
Get involved with kids by keeping the nursery, helping with music classes, serving as chaperone or driver for summer programs, helping with Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts and teaching (or helping with) Sunday School, Weekday Church School, or Vacation Bible School.
Adults can help with youth by assisting with leagues or music classes, serving as chaperone or driver for retreats and mission trips, helping with Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts and teaching (or helping with) Sunday School or Confirmation.
Other ways to lend a hand would be to teach an Adult Sunday school class, lead a workshop for Wednesdays!, help out with tasks in the church office, serve on a committee, cook or clean up for Wednesdays!, help with worship by serving as lay assisting minister, lector, communion assistant, communion preparer, usher, or as a greeter welcoming visitors to St. John's.

Join St. John's Volunteers in the Community
Volunteer in the community with others from St. John's as we serve meals at Rowan Helping Ministries, deliver Meals-on-Wheels, participate in the CROP walk, work as part of the Relay for Life team or build a house with Habitat for Humanity.
