Planning a funeral In the few days following one's death, the family makes an average of 200 decisions. Most have to do with the funeral and immediate financial issues/concerns. As people of hope in the resurrection, it makes sense for us to begin planning for our "end of life" in advance. The following guide will help in thinking through issues surrounding the funeral. Take the time now -- at whatever age -- and carefully think through verses of scripture, hymns, partcipants, etc. Let it be a gift and a blessing to your family and friends, lifting part of their burden in the days immediately following your death. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact one of our pastors. Upon completing the form, make a copy for yourself and mail a second copy to the church office. "I am the resurrection and the life," says the Lord. "Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live." John 11: 25 Funeral Planning Form (PDF) |
