Do You Have an "Inquiring Heart?"

…about growing in your faith journey with Jesus? ... what it means to be a Lutheran? (in other words, what Lutherans think about things like baptism, communion, salvation, the Bible, the Trinity, death, eternity, how to stay awake in Church – just seeing if you’re reading this!) Perhaps you have an inquiring heart about the Lutheran church or other denominations and how we are similar and different. Maybe you wonder about the Church year, why the colors on the altar change with the season, what the Reformation was all about, what to bring to a Lutheran pot-luck supper (still reading??) Perhaps you have questions specific to St. John’s: about mission & ministry opportunities here, various SS classes, the youth program, how to play hide & seek on the 2nd & 3rd & 4th floor of the sanctuary.

Accept this as a special invitation to you to join an "Inquirer’s Class" at St. John’s!

Five classes on five different Sundays will give you a peek into everything Lutheran and everything St John's. The format will be conversational and enjoyable, led by our pastors and other leaders in the church. And the best part? The Inquirer Classes are for anyone those new to the Lutheran Church, new to the Christian faith, longtime members of St. John’s and those who are brand new. Anyone!

The classes are especially geared to those who are new to St John's and considering membership. We want you to know personally how pleased we are that God has led you to St. John’s! After all, we don't believe that you're here by accident; God has a purpose for you being here! Part of that purpose might be to join the membership of St. John’s.

The classes are held 2-3 times each year.
