St John's Men's Chorus Spring Concert

The St John's Men's Chorus will present its Sixteenth Annual Spring Benefit Concert by the on Sunday, May 22, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. A Free-will Offering will be received during this event to benefit Rowan Helping Ministries. The Concert will include many sacred and secular favorites, and will feature the St. John’s Handbell Ensemble, directed by Rob Durocher; Greg Pannell, violin; and Daniel Trivette, percussion. The performance is under the direction of Rosemary Kinard and accompanied on organ and piano by Janie Rollins.
Organ Concert: Don Grice

Donald Grice, Organist, will present a concert on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in St. John’s sanctuary. Don Grice has performed in Canada, the United States, and Great Britain, and has been heard in regional and national broadcasts of CBC Radio. He has performed various solo and collaborative roles including concert work with the Winnipeg Bach Festival, the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra's New Music Festival, Westminster Concert Organ Series, and the Winnipeg Singers.
In July 2004, he was a recitalist at the national convention of the Royal Canadian College of Organists. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of British Columbia, and a Master of Sacred Music in Organ Performance degree from EmoryUniversity in Atlanta and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from The University of Arizona where he studied with Dr. Pamela Decker. Don Grice is on staff of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem where he serves as Associate Organist and Choir Master. This concert is made possible by the generosity of Dr. Dale Higbee, Director of the Carolina Baroque.
