YOUTH

Youth are active and engaged in worship, learning, service and fellowship at St. John's. You'll see them everywhere!

Middle School Youth grow in their faith by preparing for Confirmation. They meet two Sundays a month during the school year. Classes are ledby the pastors and several lay teachers. Following class, the youth participate in choir, share a meal and then meet for Middle School League. League is a youth group for 6th, 7th and 8th graders that offers fun activities as well as educational field trips. In the summer prior to eighth grade, youth attend campfirmation at Lutheridge+Lutherock.

Senior High Youth continue to grow in faith as they define themselves as individuals and in community with others. Senior High League is a youth group for 9th through 12th graders. They meet two Sundays a month for games, music, a meeting and, of course, food! They host a Fall Festival, package shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, collect food for Rowan Helping Ministries every month and attend retreats & lock-ins. Youth lead the worship service annually on Youth Sunday. A summer mission trip is scheduled each year.  In 2005 the Senior High Youth mission trip was to St. Louise Children's Home in St. Croix.
